The Higher Organizing Committee of the 'Abu Dhabi International Shooting Championship' has announced the final preparations for the upcoming event during a press conference today at the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club.
From December 1st to 4th, the 'Abu Dhabi International Shooting Championship' will be held at the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Ain Region. The event is organized by the Firearms and Dangerous Materials Office in cooperation with the UAE Shooting Federation and the International Federation for Shooting Sport Hunting Firearms. The championship will see the participation of more than 300 shooters from 30 countries, including 30 shooters from the UAE.
The press conference was attended by Director General of the Firearms and Dangerous Materials Office and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, Mohamed Suhail Al Neyadi, Deputy Chairman of the UAE Shooting Federation, Brigadier Hassan bin Hedia Al Shehhi, and Tournament Director, Matar Saif Al Neymi.
During the press conference, Al Neyadi stated: 'The total prize money for the championship is 400,000 dollars,' adding that 'the 10% participation of women is an indicator of their growing presence in this sport.' He also praised the significant interest in registration, which was completed on November 20th, and the readiness of the technical and administrative teams to welcome international shooters.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee also revealed that 'the final day will feature a special tournament named the Abu Dhabi Silver Prize, with its total prize money exceeding 100,000 dirhams, to enhance the competitive spirit and enrich the event's program.'
